Koné
The specialty of Koné is to blend the handpan in productions with sounds from all over the world, with the handpan taking center stage. Next to his productions he is working on an acoustic handpan album, showcasing his strengths as a player. You can find the first demo's below. In his songwriting, he delves into topics like mental health, mindset, and meditation. Sharing his passion at festivals and other events really resonates with his vision in life.

The Story
Koné is a 24-year-old artist, musician, and producer from Leuven, Belgium. He developed a passion for percussion instruments at an early age and started playing on an old ceramic darbuka his parents brought back from Tunisia when he was six years old. After being selected by Studio Brussel he shared his handpan sounds on Pukkelpop 2024 sharing the stage with Eefje de Visser, Selah Sue, blackwave., Glints, Brutus, Warhaus and more. Recently he was chosen by Koen & Kris in a Radio 2 show and he will open the Belgian Sportpaleis for Clouseau for their 40th anniversary shows. Koné is ready to share the sounds of this beautiful instrument with the world.
Over the years, he has gained extensive experience playing in and writing for various projects, including Tribal Twins, MAVEE, Letterzetter, TROY, Vinci, Deadbeat Larry, Elvya, Liesbet Leroy, Kunde, Shaka Shams, RAPHA, DUSHIME, Fred Gata, April Maey,
Anna Winkin, Looping Sessions and more.
His solo project features traditional percussion instruments from around the world, with the handpan taking centre stage. Recently Koné had some major changes happening in his life: he finished his studies, decided to commit himself to music full-time, built a recording studio in a van and is now travelling around Europe sharing his music.
All Koné’s songs are deeply connected with his personal experiences in life. Topics such as mental health, mindset, meditation and manifestation are really important to him.
