THE STORY

Where and when were they taken apart? There are many stories about that, some call them myths. What we do know is that they had to search for each other for a long time, in Africa, Europe, America, Asia, Australia.

They travelled the world, met griots, shamans, buskers, learned to play the bongo, djembe, flute, handpan, didgeridoo. Eyes, ears, mind open, never stop asking, never stop trying.

And then one day everything fell together again, in the right place, the right time: 15 September 2022, Rädhuspladsen, Copenhagen. Koné is drumming in the street, and suddenly Filippo stands in front of him, holding his djembe. Is it you?

Yes.

They started playing together then, as ever. They never stopped. Trance music in tailored suits: the Tribal Twins are back!

Meet the Band

Our vision is to make people move, through music and movement we free locked up emotions and heal trauma. Here is a little bit about us, hope to meet you in person soon.

Koné Moerman

1/2 of the twins, Koné has been playing percussion since his parents brought back a ceramic Darbuka when he was six years old. He is fascinated by rhythms and music from all over the world and is in love with the handpan.

Filippo La Malfa

1/2 of the twins (didgeridoo player, djembe player), part of the music producers of the project, international DJ. Renowned for his energetic performances and innovative fusion of live performances with electronic music.

Tribal Twins – Summer Tour 2025

This summer, Tribal Twins are bringing their signature blend of live organic instruments and electronic energy to stages across Europe — from intimate cultural festivals to major events like Tomorrowland.

With stops in Switzerland, Italy, the UK, Germany, Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Denmark, the tour reflects the growing interest in immersive, live musical experiences that connect people beyond borders. Each performance combines handpan, didgeridoo, percussion, flutes, and psytrance-inspired production to create a space where rhythm becomes a shared language.

At the heart of every Tribal Twins show is a simple intention: to create connection — with the audience, the moment, and the deeper pulse that runs through us all.
