THE STORY
TROY x Koné is a Belgian musical duo consisting of rapper, producer TROY and handpan artist Koné. Their collaboration is the product of the project Looping Sessions (Belgian Tiny Desk concerts), where TROY was a guest and Koné musically accompanied him as host on bass and percussion.
As of this moment, they are on stage together with a set list that ranges from hip-hop with jazz and soul influences to handpan music. What is unique about this duo is that both multi-instrumentalists perform their own songs live using a looping station. An innovative concept where each musical layer is carefully constructed with saxophone, trumpet, handpan, drums, guitar, bass, piano and more.
